I was born and raised in Michigan, moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana about 11 years ago and met and fell love with my now hubby about 8 years ago and married him 7 years ago. We have been very blessed to have each other and a real relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as we build our lives and family together with Him on a solid foundation.
In 2009 we started looking into and enrolled our daughter in a christian preschool program, very excited to start her school career. Soon after I felt the Lord placed into my heart to keep her at home and teach her myself, terrified, but obedient I pulled her from preschool and began to search out homeschooling ideas. WOW, a whole new world I never knew I would be involved in. I have found so many blogs and websites that help you get started and keep you on the right path. I am hoping in the future to be one of those places that new and veteran homeschool moms can count on to help find all the great resources and ideas from my research and combine them on one blog for easy access.
So I started homeschooling my daughters one preschool age and one toddler in the fall of 2009. I purchased a ready made P3/4 newcomer package from Sonlight. This is a great christian literature based style curriculum. I also supplemented Letter of the week, which is a free curriculum I found searching on line and I added some tot trays and idea I found on 1+1+1=1, great for toddlers and preschool age kids.

I know this is a long hard road, but my kids are worth all of it. God always has a better plan
