The girl's favorite activity for this week was, hands down their purse craft. This was an idea I got from VBS.
Things you'll need:
- 6x9in. Clasp Envelope
- Foam Stickers, markers or any kind of decorative items
- Yarn
- Tape
- Beads (big enough for yarn)
Next have the kiddos decorate with the stickers, markers etc.
Then they can lace the yarn through the holes. Put tape on the both ends of the yarn, have them start from the top of the envelope and lace down, next take the other end of the yarn and lace down the other side of the envelope so that you have both ends hanging out of the bottom.
Have them bead each bottom of the yarn. When done tie a big knot in the end so the beads will stay put.
Done and PROUD of their homemade purses!
