~Weekly Wrap-up~

This week was a FUN and EXCITING week.....yet BUSY and DRAINING at the same time.  Jada had Vacation Bible School all week long.  So we had a lot of late to bed....late to rise days.....cause nobody wanted to get out of bed.  So this made for shorter school days which is fine in the summer we are very, very laid back.  So here are a few of the things we managed to squeeze in.

listening and counting skills with RHYTHM STICK MATH.

Coloring our sticks.

Jasmine did a shape match up I found HERE.

While Jada practiced writing her name.

And the alphabet

We read and counted with Ten, Nine, Eight out of one of our favorite books that was included in our Sonlight P3/4 Fiction, Fairytales, and Fun for little Learners curriculum from last school year.

Crazy hair day for VBS.

Beading some bracelets.

Made their hats for crazy hat day at VBS.

Went for a drive.

Felt the breeze in their hair.

Making some playdoh shapes

These are some place mats we made last year and laminated but I found some cool playdoh mat printables over at Homeschool Creations that I have yet to print and laminate.

Formed their names with playdoh.

Next they played the Candyland Castle Game.  This is a great game for Toddlers especially...for practicing identifying shapes and colors and for matching as well.  It has been a favorite around here for a couple years now.

Jasmine did the counting bag game which is simply a paper lunch sack with 10 cards with the numbers on them, she picks a card and whatever the card's number is she counts that many pennies out.
Jada worked on her math mat that I found HERE.
MISMATCH DAY WAS THE LAST DAY OF VBS!!!!

I also love finding new ideas for math activities. Trying to find ways to incorporating math is important to me. Here is the link to my posts with counting, if you would like to check out some ideas I have had.
